Stillmade is a manufacturer, designer and retailer of bench-made contemporary furniture. An artisan-focused company, Stillmade is a leading voice in the landscape of new American designers and makers. We champion the values that make this industry unique––working locally, intentionally, and building each piece individually in our Brooklyn workshop. 

Design

A majority of our collection is designed by our in-house studio. An endless pursuit for creating timeless pieces for the home has been Stillmade’s calling card for over a decade. We’ve honed a careful balance between craft, engineering, and design that imbues every new work. Additionally, we have an ongoing series of collaborations with a carefully curated group of independent designers and artists. Our ability to design, engineer, manufacturer, and sell all under one roof makes us a unique and ideal partner. Through this series we’ll continue to introduce otherwise unrealized work of emerging designers and represent a diversity of perspectives that will help push Stilmade forward.

Workshop

Every piece conceived by our design studio and design partners is produced from start to finish in our  Brooklyn workshop. We employ a team of highly skilled craftspeople devoted to producing furniture of true heirloom quality. Having all of our processes under one room allows us to provide a level of customization and quality control that simply wouldn’t otherwise be possible. 

Stillmade was founded by creative director Paul Mignogna in 2013 with the dream of building on the rich tradition of American furniture design. Coincidentally, this endeavor coincided with an explosion of a burgeoning “maker” scene, with New York at the epicenter. With changing consumer attitudes toward quality and locally sourced work, Stillmade has grown into a nationally recognized brand for its timeless design and unwavering regard for craft.
